Kesaribath

Kesaribath is my favorite sweet. My mom often prepares and no doubt I hog it:).This weekend I prepared and it came out very good..even now mouth waters remembering it..So I thought of sharing the recipe on my blog. Its not at a rocket science, here we go ..

Ingradients :

1.Rava 1 cup
2.Sugar 1 cup
3.Ghee  1 cup
4.Cashew 3-4
5.Dry Grapes 4-5
6.water 3-4 cups
7.Kesari - colour(0.5 spoon)

Method : Take a frying pan and rost the rava until a nice aroma is felt.Allow it to cool for sometime by keeping it in a tray.Add a pinch of salt and the colour to the rosted rava. Mean time boil the water and keep the hot water ready. Now heat 3-4 spoons of ghee in a kadai(pan) and add the rava to it and fry it for 2 minutes on medium flame.Add hot water to the fried rava and let it cook for 3-4 mins(Add more hot water if it turns very dry and rava is still not cooked).once it cooks, add sugar and mix it until the sugar melts and mixes properly.Take it off the stove once its done.
Heat little bit of ghee with cashew and dry grapes and mix it with kesaribath.

Adding some pieces of pine apple or banana will be even more tastier.
Keasribath is ready...try this nowitself..and enjoy hot kesaribath..
